Hazard D.I.Y and Damn Am...
...I was trying to decide if I wanted to go to all that madness and was leaning towards "No". As always. Then Jona sent me this photo and said there's more out back to skate this weekend.
.....So, I guess I'll see ya there Sunday then, damn it.....
Reggie.....
...jumped, flipped and rotated his skateboard down some big ass shit and got the FTK cover this go around! Also, got an interview with him and Dan Plunkett. And the mag gave Bender a couple lil quick, free adverts by mentioning us without us having money to buy an ad yet....Sick!! Reg rips. Dan rules. FTK, 'preciate ya!!!

D.Whitney's ramp....
Over in east Atlanta, My amigo David Whitney looked on Craig'slist one day and found some dude out in Conyers, Ga who had a mini for free. Thing is he had to go disassemble it. He eventually got it back home. Pieced it back together. Threw some metal on it. Hung some lights in the trees and called it done. This is the spot for the pre-bar beers on any Friday/Saturday night. Pretty mellow. Bought 4' tall. Fun times.

Get Rad and late invoices....

..If you're gonna be late on that Net 30 invoice, at least take tips from Get Rad! skateshop and make a sick envelope. This way i won't be bummed when it shows up. Chris Bradley's got some rad shit going on. He took over the Skateshop of Athens space about 2 months ago. If you're up there skating. Stop by. Dude's a lifer and know's what's what.....Wednesday, April 4, 2012
Bender Garage Commercial.....
Since moving to the 'burbs a lil over a year ago. I've been out of touch with the old crew from the city. Sure, it's only 40 minutes or so from the house, but add in a 2 year old, the wife, the job, the tiredness. It was just a feeling of "Where the fuck can i go roll around for an hour after the kid goes to sleep?"
This place came about after looking for playgrounds with the family one Sunday afternoon. It's tucked away and you can only see it from the road for a split second in one direction of travel. Busted the U-Turn drove in and saw what was finally my spot. It's lit decently enough. Ground's good. It's got a giant curb, a bunch of normal p-blocks, some wallie hits, a high ledge and some rideable walls. I've never been fucked with there although there are the "No Skateboarding" signs. And cops cruise through non-chalantly. It's not much, but I'm not asking for much either. No one's ever skating there. All the mark's are mine. It's hidden. It's desolate. It's boring. It's my thing.
John actually met up with me after his shift at Ruin one night and I kinda went through my normal stuff here. Stoked he came out to film it. I wish I could of recorded his initial facial expressions after telling him what I wanted to film. Regardless, he made it look cooler than it probably is. Thanks man....
